Rachel Graham and Classes around South LondonFrom a very young age I wanted to dance and trained to perform and was accepted at well known dance training. I started my formal dance training later in life and took dance very seriously. As a professional dancer I learnt many new styles of dance and was able to dance in groups at a very high standard. I also loved to create new movement and put together new Choreography combining film and movement. I studied Dance and Film at Brighton University and obtained a degree in Dance and Performing Arts. I now dance to keep my strength, feel well and create energy. I am interested in holistic health and the role that movement plays in improving wellbeing, health and fitness. When I trained to dance I learn't alot of different techniques including Jazz, Tap, Ballet and Contemporary dance. More recently I have embraced Zumba Fitness and enjoy teaching Party Fitness around South East London. I love learning new latin dance as this creates a fantastic group atmosphere and fitness in the party and Carnival spirit. |
Love to Dance
I also offer a Ballet Fitness and Dance fusion class called Total Barre to incorporate my passion for dance and pilates. This enables us to move safely stabilising the Joints and spine in dynamic movement. I have a BA Hons in Dance and Art and also studied dance at the LONDON CONTEMPORARY SCHOOL AND THE LABAN CENTRE IN SOUTH EAST LONDON. Dancing helps people me express myself and helps us find new and individual ways of moving. I teach Dance and I facilitate Contemporary Dance Groups at Brockley Rise Adult Education. Mat Pilates and Reformer Trained with Stott Pilates

I enjoyed the training to be come a dancer and working in studio's. A studio is a fantastic place to train and feel great about yourself. I love spreading my enthusiasm for dance and movement. My classes vary class to class keeping dancers on their toes and flexible in their movement patterns. When I first started teaching others to dance I re-trained to teach Pilates to offer my students the core awareness needed for dancing. Also helping dancers overcome injuries and prevent them. I now train students 1:1 in studio's and privately |
